How did you sleep?
Sleep journaling comes to Penbook in the latest 7.5 release
Imagine opening your notebook in the morning and finding your sleep already on the page. How long you slept, how many times you woke, when you finally drifted off, all filled in before you got there. The only thing left to add is you: how rested you feel, what might explain it, and what you'll try tonight.
That's Sleep Journal, a new stationery collection in Penbook.
Last night, on paper
The Nightly Sleep paper holds the numbers: your sleep duration and wakeup counts, from Apple Health. The rest of the page is yours. Write down what the numbers can't know. Maybe it was the late coffee. Maybe it was a good book.
The Monthly Sleep retrospective caps each month with all your nights in one place. Thirty nights of sleep data can surface patterns not obvious when looking at a single night: the weekend catch-ups, a bedtime that keeps sliding later, the calm week you slept right through.
Make it part of your pages
Sleep papers are stationery, and Penbook loves remixing stationery. Tap to add Activity Rings, a weekly planner, a cover you like, and you have a wellness planner you can't buy anywhere.
Sleep Journal joins the Health Journal pages from earlier this year, and like those, it's made for Pencil and paper that feels good to write on.
Coming this fall
Sleep Journal opens a busy season for us. This fall, alongside iOS 27, Penbook 8 arrives with a brand-new writing experience built on Apple's newest ink technology. Writing is the heart of Penbook, and this is the biggest thing to happen to it in years. We'll share more as fall gets closer.
Sleep Journal is available now in Penbook 7.5, and is a free update.
